We created six distinct, wow burgers to add on and uplift their existing menu. Cartalyst worked with them to ensure that they made savings on spices and labour. Additionally, we optimised their offering and engineered their menu strategically so that one single product goes about to give multiple variants of SKUs. Cartalyst made certain that the product moved from being in-store dining to door delivery. We did this by working on the product to make sure it stays fresh for a long time. Thus we are glad we assisted Rock House Sliders with their New Product & Recipe Development, Menu Optimisation, Wastage Management, Profit Escalation. We introduced fried chicken in 4 crowd-pleasing styles of spicy, regular, garlic-pepper and southindian In-demand snacks were developed like Pakoras, Samosas, Puffs and Tempura For the arabic food lovers arabic grills, mashawi and shawarma was constructed. In the bread section we brought in kulcha parathas. Kebabs and Indian gravy mixes were launched. All the above seven product lines have become their mainstay at the hot food counter and has grown to become one of their high profit making sections. At lulu Hypermarket the spices used for all the above is furnished by Cartlayst. We also do the nuts seasons for them using Cartlayst appetising spice blends giving them a range of fried and roasted savoury nuts We are also their chosen consultants for all their food related promotions such as christmas and easter ones.

The Approach : Bombay Chowpatty, and Indian Snack bar is known for it’s Samosas, Traditionally the samosa had a spicy potato filling and a pretty standardised menu. We wanted to cut the ice with this and go ballistic exploring what all options could go in as the filling in the product without losing touch with the original dish. The Outcome : 17 varieties of samosas were launched creating quite a stir for the snack lovers. We also added value by standardising some of their recipes so they could easily become franchisable without the hassle of a CPU

We created a line of freshly baked and made sandwiches, french baguettes with toppings and even chapatis. The menu board was completely international, the model - theatre and the ingredients included 7 cheeses like Haloumi, Anari, Fresh Provolone and Mozarella, 8 fresh sauces like Pesto, Peri-peri, Harissa, Tikka, Schezwan , British Colonial Pepper and Aujus. The proteins used were Salmon, Strip Loin, Beef and Chicken. BakeMart Plus today enjoys a following of regular customers to pick up their sandwiches which translated into more business for all their sections

A salad concept from UK, localised in UAE. From Sauces, to Sous Vide Meats, to creating Vegan meats for them. We optimised the product range by simplifying the sauces by localising the ingredients. It took a while to match from understanding the flavour and we used our commissary to create the same

We currently have 7 new SKU for them in the form of Limited Time Offers. From bread toppings to Protein to a sauce deck and seasonings for salads we are their local development partner.

My initial Quest was to look at businesses and work the Solution for them. Looked at this business as a local format of A , for Bread , B for Protein, C for Sauce and D for Salad and their pickle station requested them to localise it with local chillies and pickled vegetables. Besides their base proteins and seasonings we matched and provided them local support. Currently only in KSA.

The market in inundated with chicken concepts. For Chuncy Chicken we decided to go Grilled, since it is a healthier option and a whole lot of people are leaning towards better alternatives to fried chicken in the QSRs. With that in place we moved to making a product line which has unexplored flavours. We also wanted to complement the sandwich with sauces that could actually draw a crowd. And thats exactly what we developed for them.

We created a range of halal dressings using 13 different souring agents which are predominantly consumed in the Middle East. We contributed in spiking up the sales from 24 units to 140 units a day in a retail store front. Profitability increased by 13% even though the offering was that of ‘Build your own salad’

Going local with a global product turned out to be the winner concept and we created the first fried chicken concept created in Tanzania for the local market. We served the chicken with Ugaali, Hand Cut Fries, Avocado, Sweet potato fried, Local beverages. And thats what created the bang for the brand. The business opened to a very good start cutting out competition from day one. Over a period of weeks and months, the brand has gained recognition as one of the best fried chickens served in town.
